APRESENTAÇÃO / OVERVIEW

O XIV Simpósio Internacional de Musicologia / V Congresso da Associação Brasileira de Musicologia (ABMUS), que ocorrerá em Goiânia, de 15 de junho a 19 de junho de 2025, em parceria com o CARAVELAS - Núcleo de Estudos de História da Música Luso-Brasileira (CESEM/FCSH/Universidade Nova de Lisboa) e os PPGs MÚSICA da UFG, UnB, UFU, UNICAMP, tem como objetivos proporcionar reflexões sobre os caminhos plurais da musicologia na contemporaneidade que abarcam os seguintes aspectos: objetos sonoros e imagéticos; questões de identidades, colonialidade e decolonialidade; ampliação de intercâmbios entre laboratórios de pesquisas, centros de estudos, associações e centros de salvaguardas do patrimônio musical; estímulo à produção científica e à produção artística resultante de estudos musicológicos, provenientes tanto de pesquisadores discentes (juniores), docentes e independentes (seniores); favorecimento da divulgação de pesquisas existentes na área da musicologia em âmbito nacional e internacional; interiorização do conhecimento.

The XIV International Symposium of Musicology and the V Congress of the Brazilian Association of Musicology (ABMUS), which will take place in Goiânia from 15th to 19th June 2025, in partnership with CARAVELAS - Center for Studies in Luso-Brazilian Music History (CESEM/FCSH/New University of Lisbon) and the Postgraduate Programs in Music at UFG, UnB, UFU, and UNICAMP, aims to provide a forum for reflections on the plural paths of musicology in contemporary times, covering the following aspects: sound and visual objects; issues of identities, coloniality, and decoloniality; the expansion of exchanges between research laboratories, study centres, associations, and centres for safeguarding musical heritage; the encouragement of scientific production and artistic output resulting from musicological studies, by both student (junior), faculty, and independent (senior) researchers; the promotion of the dissemination of existing research in the field of musicology at both national and international levels; and the internationalisation of knowledge.
